Supplements Benefits row, Fact or Advertising?


Circulating in the market many supplements that claim to provide a series of health benefits. Starting from maintaining stamina, bone repair, to prevent aging. As consumers we must wonder whether a series of benefits it is a fact or a mere marketing language.

Actually there's nothing wrong with the claim of a supplement or a multivitamin on a variety of complete formulas had. The reason, several types of supplements and vitamins do have multiple benefits that have been scientifically proven.

An example is the green tea. According to various studies, green tea merit to prevent various types of cancer, protect the heart, inhibits the growth of bacteria, fight tooth decay, and work as antioxidants to increase the body's immune system. A row of these benefits attract the attention of researchers to seek to identify the active component in green tea.

Initially, drugs were only made for one purpose, such as the relief of pain. However, after a lot of people taking the drug and feel the benefits for other illnesses, then another benefit is investigated. In this case the most appropriate example is aspirin.

Drugs derived from willow bark in the first place is used to treat headaches. However, later revealed that the active substance acetyl salicylic acid from aspirin can also be developed to cope with arthritis pain, analgesic (pain relief) to prevent heart disease, reduce the risk of colon cancer, to deal with osteoporosis.
